‘Florence’s  poems’

At Pecket, people shared their writing with the group, learnt from each other and encouraged each other.  Here  Florence asks Pauline her  ‘writing hand’ to read a poem and then Florence reads.
‘Who will write for me?’ on the difficulty of life when you have to depend on others to read your personal mail.  Florence says “Sometimes we have live with people we do not like but we need them to read for us.”
‘I am the valley who received them all.’ A poem about the flowing river in the valley in the countryside around Pecket . Finally  ‘Lumb Bank Valley’ a poem of love for the nearby valley which houses ‘Lumb Bank’, a writers centre set up by Ted Hughes. For Florence this brings memories childhood in Ghana.
